OUTDOOR AREA

Unusually for central Beijing, 3e is fortunate to have a large garden and green play area that offers endless opportunities for children to explore the natural environment in a safe and secure setting. Climbing structures, tire swings, a sandbox and even an outdoor percussion circle offer opportunities for exploration in sound and movement and for children's imaginations to take them wherever they would like them to during outdoor inquiry. A climbing wall, balance pod, seesaws and upper body strength equipment occupy part of our woodland garden, offering physical challenges and stimulation for our older students.

Our large deck area in the back of the school provides opportunities to take classroom activities outside and our vegetable patch and deck garden offer hands on life science experiences. In the open space in front of the school, children may ride on a selection of bicycles and tricycles to help improve their balance. It is also a meeting ground on sunny days for impromptu gatherings of parents and children.

After school activities and physical education classes including basketball, soccer and tennis take place in our multi purpose sports court to the side of school.
